About the Toward 2040: Creative Leaders Fellowship

At Words Beats & Life, we're committed to building a future rooted in freedom, liberation, and radical love. Our Towards 2040 Fellowship is a key part of this vision. This annual fellowship program empowers artists, arts administrators, cultural workers, and community organizers to become catalysts for positive change.

Through mentorship, skill-building, and collective learning, fellows are equipped to design innovative systems, platforms, and spaces that are accessible to everyone. We leverage the power of hip-hop as a tool for social justice, inspiring fellows to use their creativity to address systemic issues and promote equity.

The 2024-25 Cohort

This year's cohort features five talented individuals from the DMV region who are pushing the boundaries of art and uplifting their communities. These artists, dancers, DJs, videographers, and writers embody our vision for the future. They are not only skilled in their craft but also passionate about using their platform to make a difference.
