Lupe Fiasco Accepts Rap Laureate Award

This past week Words Beats & Life, presented the Grammy award-winning artist and producer, Lupe Fiasco, with the first-ever Rap Laureate Award.

This year at WBL Fest's Remixing the Art of Social Change Conference, WBL honored Lupe Fiasco with the first-ever Rap Laureate award for his outstanding career both in music and advocacy. Unfortunately, Fiasco was not able to attend the conference in person. However, he accepted the award from his classroom at MIT with his students, where he is currently part of MIT’s MLK Visiting Professors and Scholars Program.
