Juste Debout Returns to the US!
On December 8th the international dance competition, Juste Debout, made its post-covid debut. We are happy to announce that it was a massive success! Here’s a recap of what went down.
As hundreds of dancers and audience members filled Dock5 at DC's Union Market on Sunday Dec 8th, we knew this was gonna be a great return for Juste Debout to the US, and we couldn’t be happier to have partnered up to make it a day to remember. It was amazing to see dancers come all the way from Chicago, Seattle, New York and, of course, the local DMV talent! DJs ROXSWIFT, SC-One, Diyanna Monet, and Baronhawk Poitier kept the vibes going all day with funk, house and hip-hop classics. A huge shoutout to our two amazing hosts, Stackz and Stephy Styles, who held court with energy and humor. Of course, it wouldn’t be a competition without the judges, and we were lucky to have some of the best in the game, Clara, repping House, Majid (hip-hop), Hoan (popping), and last but not least, the legendary Anthony Thomas (locking).
After 9 hours of intense competition we are happy to announce the winners are David Stalter Jr. and Tyler D Singletary (Hip-Hop), Armani and Sweepy (Popping), Hurrikane Alain and Gianna Theodore (House), Kiyam and YuKi - Princess Campbellock (Locking).
