  • 100% of your $50 experience fee is a tax-deductible donation to our registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization

  • Your donation keeps our academy’s art education classes free for DC kids, youth and young adults 8 to 22 years old

Our group had so much fun learning about the history of graffiti, creating our own graffiti tags, and practicing the art form itself on site. What’s even better is that our attendance supported a community organization with the awesome mission of providing positive and fun alternative experiences for community youth. Keep up the great work!

The experience was amazing and highly recommended! Both Mazi and the instructor were super welcoming and the experience of getting onto the graffiti history was just INCREDIBLE!

This workshop is AWESOME! Can’t remember the last time I’ve had such a creative charge. The workshop is structured and balanced between the history of the movement, what makes graffiti, graffiti, great storytelling, and practical hands-on art. Amazing value and all in support of a great organization. Highly recommend!

Go to this experience. Mazi is friendly, engaging, and knowledgeable. The experience itself is too notch. First a history of the hows and whys of graffiti in the hip-hop culture. The self-reflection and then creation of your own tag is challenging but so, so fun. We were two adults and two teenagers, all of us had a blast. This was pretty far outside of what we would normally do on a vacation, but it is so worth it.
— Laura
I enjoyed my class with Ultra immensely. He is very cool, an amazing artist, and a walking encyclopedia of information about graffiti art. He gave a great presentation about the history of graffiti, the DC, Philly, and NYC graffiti culture, and the creative process. There was a time to explore ideas indoors, then we headed outside where a long whitewashed wall is built. There, using a variety of spray paint canisters and caps you can try your hand at graffiti art without risk of getting arrested. Ultra was informative and encouraging and helped me to execute my first amazing graffiti piece. This is an excellent experience for anyone with any level of art experience to try graffiti art. It is highly recommended!
— Joseph
